Grampian Fire and Rescue Service has chosen Fortek’s Vision as its new Command,Control and Communications Solution.

It is envisaged that Vision, which represents the latest generation of Command,Control and Communications System, will enable the Fire Service to provide a better response to the community of 520,000 habitants in the North East of Scotland by improving its effectiveness and resource deployment.

This is accomplished by taking advantage of spatial data to create a geographical picture for resource deployment, risk, assets and incident management and by using Voice over IP to fully integrate Voice Communications.

Grampian Fire and Rescue Service can also exploit AVL and Mobile Data to ensure optimum resource deployment and response times, guaranteeing effective communications between 40 fire stations in the area.
