Motorola choose NICE for Public Safety Network

31 July, 2008

Motorola has chosen NICE Inform for Denmark’s Nationwide Public Safety Network with the aim of combining radio over IP and telephony communications.

Their aim is to increase safety and security by providing a single application for command and control centres with the ability to plan for future events, such as terror attacks or economy collapses.

Denmark’s Ministry of the Interior will add NICE’s multi-media incident information management solution to accommodate radio over-IP and audio content from the Danish public safety network. Motorola’s nationwide public safety communications service will be improved by NICE Inform, enhancing cooperation and integration among public safety agencies in Denmark, and creating a more rapid response to deal with the safety and security of Danish citizens.

President of NICE EMEA, Tamir Ginat, said, “Being selected for Denmark’s advanced IP-based emergency services communications project is a reflection of the unique benefit NICE inform provides in enabling multimedia command and control capabilities.”
