New GIS poll from ACPO lead

Latest BAPCO Poll submitted by Chief Information Officer Andrew Watson of the British Transport Police and the lead on Geographic Information (GI) reporting to the Association of Chief Police Officers' (ACPO).

In order to gauge some of the thought and opinions on Geographic Information and its potential for use among the blue light services the BAPCO Journal is hosting a poll asking you to give feedback that CIO Watson and the GI Committee reporting to ACPO can use for their work.

The questions is:

How interested would you be in sharing common Geographic Information (GI) (eg gazetteer systems, service assets, incident locations etc) on a common system with other blue light services?

  • Very interested – it would be a beneficial for all concerned.
  • Quite interested – it would be good to have a system we could all access but some data may need to be restricted from certain people.
  • Not interested – we’d need to keep our information private and only let people see it when it’s necessary

To vote - simply return use the panel on the right hand side of the page.
