The Government's new Specialist Contractors Framework Agreement is showing an average 24% saving on the cost of employing temporary and contract staff within the public sector.

The Framework is managed by OGC buying. solutions (OGCbs), the trading arm of the Office of Government Commerce, and is not only providing a quick and easy solution for temporary skills gaps, but presents an alternative to consultancy staff for temporary skill requirements. It also offers a breadth of specialisms and depth of grades & experience at competitive rates. OGCbs Chief Executive, Hugh Barrett, said, "This new agreement shows how government's combined purchasing power can produce real value for money for public sector customers, and deliver savings which can be redirected to frontline services."
