SunGard Vivista has confirmed in a press statement that London Councils, a lobbying and policy development organisation that runs a range of services designed to make life better for Londoners, has selected SunGard Vivista for a new five-year contract to manage business services and information and communications technology (ICT). SunGard Vivista will be responsible for supporting business processes and the technology that helps London Councils to deliver its services.

In selecting SunGard Vivista, London Councils conducted a thorough evaluation process through a procurement that commenced in 2005. Prior to this latest contract, SunGard Vivista has provided its services to London Councils since 1999.

London Councils director of transport, environment and planning, Nick Lester commented, “We have worked closely with SunGard over many years, and look forward to continuing for the next five years. The services they will be helping us to run will benefit some of the most vulnerable in our communities.”

SunGard Vivista director of managed services, David Williams said, “SunGard Vivista values the relationship we have built with London Councils extremely highly and we believe that our in-depth knowledge of its business processes and the critical role that London Councils plays in London has been recognised. We look forward to continuing to add value to London and to increasing the focus on innovative work and best practices.”
